In this unit, students explore their own identities and human identity in general. This will include genetic testing themselves to reveal that their racial preconceptions about who will have the most similar DNA doesn't fit the evidence. They will also read the novel, The Revolution of Evelyn Serrano before culminating the unit by creating their own 'Zine sharing the surprising truths they learned about themselves and identity in this unit.
